I played golf again today and did the best I have done. I made par on FOUR holes. Four! Previously I have not made par on more that one hole in a game. One of the nice things about playing alone is there isn’t any one to see the simple mistakes, but one of the bad things is there isn’t anyone to see the great shots. On thirteen I landed just off the green in smooth cut grass. The putt was 12-14 yards and the green broke right and I hit the ball with a perfect amount of force and to the spot I wanted and the ball arced and slowly rolled to the middle of the cup. It was a perfect putt. A pro putt. And one I’m not likely to repeat soon, but it was one to remember.
And the big news, Alison is having a boy and she is going to name him Evan after my middle name. Looks as though the Doc will perform a C-section May 20th.
Today is my sister’s birthday and for the next fifteen days she is the same age as me, in years anyway.
