I picked Chad up at his house at 6:45, which means I had to leave my house at 5:30. Chad and I met his Dad at a Waffle House for breakfast and the three of us met some friends of theirs to play golf at Lane Creek. Nice course, wide open fairways and fast greens. The course is surrounded by modest priced homes ($300 and up), as opposed to most golf courses that are surrounded by high priced homes.
I did OK in the game had at least one par, but I’m still trying to learn the game. The group bets on the front half, back half, and overall game. Par is two points, a birdie is four, and an eagle eight. And the most someone can win or loose is $15. I didn’t bet.
Phil –Chad’s dad- gave me a golf bag so now I am complete, equipment-wise at least.
